Thenjiwe Chikane, South Africa

Ms. Thenjiwe Chikane is a Chartered Accountant who currently holds the position of Director in the Nedbank Group Ltd, South Africa. She graduted with a B.A. in Accounting from the University of South Africa in 1995 and became a Chartered Accountant  and acceptedas a FellowbyPublic Accountants and  Auditors Board of South Africain in 1998. Ms. Chikane will help strengthen the financial oversight of the Board by bringing her financial services and private sector experience to the Board. 

During a career that has lasted over 24 years, she has served as advisor to the Housing Portfolio Committee in Gauteng Province, South Africa, and headed the Government Finance and Economic Affairs Department in Gauteng. She has been lecturer in taxation for post graduate students, Chief Executive Officer of MGO Consulting Company and occupied the position of Director at Telkom and at Development Financial Services, South Africa.
